Life's good

Ten years ago Samsung rocked the world with its ambition to become a number one global consumer electronics brand. Well done, Samsung: that is what I call planned execution.

Now LG is ready to kick in and claim its place as the consumer's darling with their all-too-hot steam washer.
Bizarrely, it is not hooked up to internet, even though it does feature a wireless monitor that lets you watch the status of your wash from anywhere in your house. Still, the SteamWasher is probably the first washing machine to include a cool LCD monitor.

So if LG can just add wifi/wimax, the LCD screen can display your iTunes lists. You then browse and select a playlist using the big knob with sci-fi backlighting, and you hear your favorite tunes play while you watch your clothes going through their steam cycles. Inspired, you then open up your laptop and update your blog.
