Not-so-Smart move

Introducing... the new € 4.188,00 Smart...

Only, it's not a smart! It's actually a copycat car, carefully 'redesigned' by chinese electric car manufacturer CMEC. The top speed is a blazingly fast 54,74 km/h. Amazingly, the company actually plans to sell this car in the U.K., where you can also buy the 'regular' version (by Daimler Chrysler, of course).

"When we designed the car we were aware that we might be opening ourselves up to legal action," as Engadget quotes Jerry Chen, sales manager for CMEC. "That's why we've imitated the outside but concentrated on making the interior look different." Doh.

Coming up next: the battery-powered copycat Airbus A380 that can fly from Brussels to Antwerp in just 1 hour.
